Tinubu’s confidence in Buhari misplaced; Watch your back, Fani-Kayode cautions
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has expressed regrets over a statement credited to Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu suggesting that he still had confidence in President Muhammadu Buhari.
He expressed concerns that the former Lagos State governor and acclaimed leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), will regret “never been born” by the time Buhari “finishes” with him.
Tinubu was quoted to have made the statement while addressing newsmen after a closed-door meeting with Buhari at the Presidential Villa on Monday.
But reacting to the statement on his twitter handle Fani-Kayode said, “Tinubu says that
he still has confidence in Buhari. Poor him. Does slavery and the selling of one’s kinsmen, soul and heritage not have limits? Is there no pride and dignity left? Must some live on their knees? By the time Buhari finishes with him he will wish he had never been born!”
On the report that Buhari was aware of the reinstatement of the former pension boss, Abdulrasheed Maina, Fani-Kayode said, “The Head of Service has said that not only did
@MBuhari know about Maina’s reinstatement but that she also warned him about it. He also knew about the illegal disbursement of $26 billion for bogus oil contracts that were awarded by (Maikanti) Baru (Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation Group Managing Director) without the knowledge of his boss (State Minister for Petroleum) Ibe Kachikwu.”
